Pearl Jam hits Rexall Sept. 23

Gosh, has it been 20 years?

Break out your old flannel. It’s high time for a grunge rock revival – and we can think of no better (living) rock band than Pearl Jam to mark the occasion. The band plays Edmonton’s Rexall Place on Friday, September 23, part of a Canadian tour that includes Mudhoney as the support act. Seattle nostalgia ahoy!

Tickets are $69.50 and go on sale Friday, May 27, at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster. Two dollars from every ticket sold will go to the Vitalogy Foundation, which funds non-profit organizations chosen by the band members.

Pearl Jam sold out its last Canadian arena tour in 2005. This time, they have a couple of new products to plug: the Live on Ten Legs record and “expanded” reissues of their two legendary albums Vs. and Vitalogy. The band is also starring in a new Cameron Crowe rockumentary Pearl Jam Twenty, making its debut this fall with companion book and soundtrack album.
