The Tragically Hip will be returning to Edmonton in the new year.
The band is set to play Wednesday, Jan 23 at Rexall Place, it was announced Monday, part of yet another extensive cross-Canada tour that doesn’t seem to include Calgary. Oh, Calgary! First you get mistaken for Edmonton by Justin Bieber, and now this. Well, the Hip was just there at the Calgary Stampede. Don’t get greedy, eh?
The venerable Canadian rockers will support a new album called “Now for Plan A,” adding to what has turned into a formidable catalogue of material from 12 studio albums over 23 years. With the Arkells in support, tickets start at $24.50 and go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster, with a presale for fan club members starting Tuesday.
