Dierks Bentley returns to Edmonton with Burning Man

Last time country star Dierks Bentley came to down, he was “drunk on a plane” – for good reason, because the poor guy had just been stood up at his own wedding.

Four years later, he’s touring on the strength of his new hit single Burning Man (no relation to the annual hippie happening at the Black Rock Desert). “I’m a little bit holy water but still a little bit burning man,” Dierks sings (note the ‘g’ has not been dropped in the song title) – and he clearly feels strongly about it as he’s calling this the “Burning Man Tour 2019.”

Bentley will play Rogers Place on Thursday. Jan. 24, 2019, with Jon Pardi, and Tenille Townes in support. Tickets go on sale Nov. 2.

Like many of his bro-country brethren, the Arizona star tends to sing songs about trucks, booze and women, not necessarily in that order or all at the same time. Yet through a string of No, 1 country hits on 10 studio albums, including his latest, The Mountain, it’s clear he expresses his deeper feelings, too. Dierks Bentley has been called – by us – the ultimate example of “emo-bro country.”
