Scary Good Alice Cooper Returns to Edmonton in Spring 2020

Alice CooperLike all of us, the older Alice Cooper gets, the scarier he looks – which works out well for the original King of Shock Rock.

Even if it’s more burlesque these days, as much laugh as scream, the 71-year-old rocker is still going strong – thanks to clean living in his senior years (a contrast to his youth, long story) announcing the extension of the “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back” tour that takes Alice and his band to the Jubilee Auditorium on Wednesday, April 15. Opening the show will be Lita Ford, who has classic rock cred of her own as a member of The Runaways.

Tickets from $39 to $119 (plus service charges) go on sale Friday.

There’s new music, too! Alice has just released The Breadcrumbs EP, featuring homage to the garage-rock heroes of his Detroit youth, including a re-do of his 2003 hit Detroit City called Detroit City 2020. This in addition to a staggering legacy of hits and the seminal shock-rock album Welcome to My Nightmare in 1975 that still hold up today.
